"To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not rich; to listen to stars and birds, babes and sages, with open heart; to study hard; to think quietly, act frankly, talk gently, await occasions, hurry never; in a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common."

Five kids & all their stuff comfortably (and creatively) in a space 10' wide & 18' long

The girls came up with a plan to make more space in their bedroom. They sketched out the plans, showed it to Otis and we made arrangements to build. We started Saturday morning. We finished Sunday evening. Scroll slowly and see if you can guess before you get to the bottom. :o)

We still have to put up some sheet rock, paint and find some area rugs but for the most part, this project is done. Whew! What a weekend!!

Oh my goodness, that was a huge project. :) What a great way to increase your space. It is a perfect teen space.

I love seeing how other people make their homes work for them.
Thanks for sharing. :)
